One of the most innovative robot vacuum cleaners we’ve ever seen is now available for preorder.
Earlier this year at CES, Roborock unveiled the Saros Z70, a vacuum with a mechanical arm that can pick up objects in its way and continue cleaning. While it’s not for sale yet, you can place a preorder on the company’s site for expected May delivery. It’s available with a black or silver base, but the vacuum itself is black regardless of the base you choose.

If you’re interested, the preorder price is $1,899, which includes another Roborock product of your choice — like the F25 ACE cordless wet-dry vacuum or the Dyad Air wet-dry vacuum cleaner (the site indicates that several options are already sold out). For comparison, most vacuums on our list of the best robot vacuums cost between $400 and $800.
For now, the Saros Z70’s arm can only pick up 8 ounces, so it’s limited to moving fairly small and lightweight items — think socks, papers, napkins, kids’ shoes, or toys. The vacuum will make a first pass, find objects in its way, pick up the items, and take them to a predetermined spot, then return to finish what it missed. When vacuuming is complete, the arm folds back inside.
No more picking up every little thing
This extendable arm addresses one of the biggest frustrations with robot vacuums — having to pick up every little thing that might impede your robot’s path or risk coming back to find the vacuum stuck on a sock.

The actual vacuum part of this device is pretty solid too, with 22,000Pa of suction, placing it among industry leaders in that area.
This product is launching just as Roborock has claimed the top spot in the global robot vacuum market for the first time, surpassing iRobot in both sales volume and revenue.
